In an age in which technology defines our experiences, this play centers around a group of actors examining the nature of immediacy and whether or not our interactions are less potent seen through the lens of a smartphone. The actors in the company directly influenced their written characters, inspiring a body of research on social media.

In King Lear, many of the characters are superficial; they appear kind and benevolent but they are really rotten on the inside. While their silhouettes are Elizabethan, leading from many experiments, the fabricated textiles are made from trash. From a distance, the characters look like they are simply dressed in period costumes, though from closer, it becomes apparent that they are actually made out of worthless trash, the cast-offs of our society.
